Peacefulness

I could have stayed there forever,
Within the safety of that place.
Inside the circle of your arms,

Revelation

I kneel beside my bed,
My decision almost made.
Only one thing left to do,
I have not yet prayed.

Swirling through the milky batter
Cherry red and golden
Paddles turn in dizzied dance
The delicate mixture foldin'

I feel my edges fraying,
The tension starts to grow.
Pale and thin the cracks appear,
Around my edges slow
They gather and they widen.
Soon one will go right through
To the other side of me
And I will split in two.
